Moonsail is a beautifully presented two bed cottage with views over Cadgwith valley and towards the cove. It has two bedrooms on the ground floor, with a large bathroom. The first floor open kitchen and living room opens into the secluded garden area, perfect for eating outdoors. The cottage has two bedrooms on the ground floor: -double bedroom with wrought iron double bed, chest of drawers with mirror -twin bedroom with built in wardrobe storage -large bathroom with bath with mixer tap over, separate shower, sink, wc and washing machine
Stairs up to first floor, landing area with bookshelves: -kitchen area with granite worktop, oven, dishwasher, microwave, freestanding fridge-freezer -dining table -lounge area with two sofas, coffee table, TV
The garden area can be accessed from path around the outside of cottage and also from french doors in lounge area: patio area with table and chairs and a sloping lawn area. Whilst it is possible to park directly outside the cottage, please be aware that the driveway is very narrow and difficult to manoeuvre on – for this reason, we also provide a parking permit for the car park, which is just across the road.
We, the owners, live in the adjoining house with our three children and Monty, our rescue dog.

If you are travelling by road from anywhere outside of Devon and heading to the west of Cornwall, the most direct route is likely to include the M5 and then the A30.
Directions From Helston:
From Helston, head south on the A3083 following the signs for the Lizard.
Follow the A3083 for approximately 9 miles passing the Mullion turning and the Lizard Cider Barn on your right. Just after this there is a left turn to Ruan Minor, Cadgwith and Kennack Sands. Take this road which takes you through the village of Ruan Minor and down the hill to Cadgwith (the road is narrow with few passing spaces). As you come into the village there are thatched cottages either side of the road, The Cot is the second cottage on the left.

“Epic views over the village!”
“We stayed here for the 2nd part of our honeymoon and were so pleased with our choice. Clean, comfortable and cosy. The attention to detail in the cottage was great, exactly what you’d hope for. The village is lovely, all the locals are very friendly and helpful. Old Cellars restaurant was amazing, we ate there pretty much every night. The local pub is good for drinks and evening entertainment. There is a local taxi driver who we used a few times to head off to Porthleven and Coverack, def recommend contacting him-details in the guest book. Overall a wonderful stay, the garden at the top has epic views over the village, couldn’t have asked for anything better.”
“A fab way to spend Christmas!”
“A welcome of home baked mince pies and an invitation to join in the fun of the christmas day sea swim. What a fab way to spend christmas in the beautiful Cot. With its snug log burner, summer house with views over the cove, our family celebrated our second happy and relaxing christmas here……………. hope to come back for many more. Thankyou.”

“‘A beautiful, characterful, quaint & cosy cottage, beautifully decorated and appointed – thank you for the personal touches of fresh flowers, cream tea and milk on arrival. We have fallen in love with The Cot and Cadgwith’s charm with its unspoilt, picture postcard higgledy, piggledy cottages and lanes to the rugged coastline, stunning views and cliff top walks. We don’t want to leave…”
“Cadgwith is truly unique!”
“Had a wonderful 4 days at the Cot for New Year. Really enjoyed the cosy, well equipped cottage, lovely walks along the coastal path from the front door and the hospitality, great food and friendliness of the locals and other visitors at the pub, just 20 yards down the road. Cadgwith is truly unique being a beautiful Cornish village which is still real, with a strong local working community.”
